VFW Post 8790 has some great spaces available for your next event!

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8790 serves Houston's veterans by providing a space for them to gather in support of one another, but they also provide some great outreach services which are funded by rental of this space to community members like you!  So this is a great opportunity to use Post 8790 for your next event and support Houston veterans at the same time.  We look forward to seeing you at the Post!

  • Event must end no later than midnight and the room must be cleared by 12:30am per TABC.

  • A security/damage deposit of $200 is required to reserve the requested date.

  • The security/damage deposit will be returned, if there is no damage, no later than 30 days after the event.

  • Balance is due prior to setting up for the event in the rented premises.

  • If the contract is cancelled for any reason, the deposit may be forfeited unless the hall is re-rented.

  • Two security guards are included with rental.  Additional guards may be provided for your event at the rate of $40 per hour per officer, with a minimum of 4 hoursper officer.  Tenant will pay for security in cash.

  • No alcohol will be served or consumed until security is present.

  • A quinceanera will require a minimum of three security guards.

  • Two bartenders are included with rental. Additional bartenders may be provided at a charge of $20 per hour per bartender with a five hour minimum (30min setup, 4hr serving, 30min teardown).

  • Last call will be at 11:30pm.

  • All alcoholic beverages served during the event must be purchased from VFW Post 8790 with the understanding that guests are not allowed to enter or leave the event with any container of any type.

  • No decorations will be hung from the ceiling or taped, stapled, pinned, or otherwise attached to the walls or floor.  Hooks will be provided from which to hang decorations.

  • All exits, corridors, fire hoses, and stairways must be free of obstructions.  Exit doors cannot be locked or blocked per the Fire Marshal.

  • The tenant agrees to promptly pay VFW Post 8790 for any damage, or expense that the post may incur to repair or pay others to repair, caused by the tenant or guests.

  • Tenant agrees to promptly notify VFW Post 8790 of any malfunctioning equipment, plumbing leaks, electrical issues, etc.

  • VFW Post 8790 will not be responsible for any incidents or injuries incurred by tenants or guest during the rental period.

  • Maximum occupancy will not be exceeded.  (A-Room 525 and B-Room 175).
