Independence Day Parade

Join us on July 4th for the Villages Independence Day Parade! VFW Post 8790 is honored to lead this patriotic celebration, highlighting the values of service, sacrifice, and freedom. The parade kicks off at 10:00 AM, following the MVPD Fun Run and Bike Ride at 9:45 AM. Bring your family and wear your red, white, and blue, and celebrate our nation's birthday with us -- see you there!

Casino Night

Step back in time for a glamorous evening at Prohibition and Pearls Casino Night, presented by VFW Post 8790 and Auxiliary. Taking place on July 26 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM in the Victory Ballroom, this Great Gatsby-themed event promises an unforgettable experience. Guests can enjoy classic casino games, lively music, delicious drinks, and hors d'oeuvres -- all while dressed in 1920's attire.

VFW Post 8790 is proud to announce the 7th Annual Boots and Heroes Gala, a night dedicated to honoring the bravery, sacrifice, and resilience of our nation’s heroes. This special event will take place at Victory Hall on September 13, 2025. Event Highlights:

Keynote Speaker: Hear inspiring words from a distinguished guest.
Dinner and Entertainment: Enjoy a delicious meal and live performances.
Silent Auction: Bid on unique items to support veteran programs.
Honoree Recognition: Celebrate the achievements of outstanding service members and supporters.

Casino Night

Join us for the 4th Annual VFW Post 8790 Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, at Jersey Meadows Golf Course! Enjoy an 18-hole, 4-person scramble, great prizes, delicious food, cold drinks, and a lively after-party at the Post. All proceeds benefit the VFW Post 8790 Patio Project, creating a space for fellowship and healing for our veterans.
